There’s just something about Summer Sundays at Dick Howser Stadium.

For the second week in a row the top-ranked Seminoles came away with a walk off win in their Sunday Gold uniforms to complete a three-game weekend sweep.

This week it was Jayce Boyd who delivered the winning hit with a two-run double off the screen in right field for a 6-5 win over Rhode Island.

“I noticed he was trying to work the strike zone a lot,” Boyd said of Rams’ closer Mike Bradstreet. “We got some swings earlier in the inning, first pitch fastballs got some good swings on him, so I saw that approach. Took the same approach and just put it off the screen.”
